Hello Volunteers!
The Infant Oral Care Program is open to a broad variety of interested volunteers. If you would like to get involved as a dental hygienist dental assistant, pre-dental volunteer, community health advocate, translator, or any other type of volunteer in which you feel our program can benefit from, we definitely encourage you to contact us. There are still the same requirements we expect of all prospective volunteers before they start with us (readings, training, etc.). Once again, we would love to hear from you if you are interested in any of the above volunteer positions so please do not hesitate to contact us if interested!
Application Process:
1. Submit your completed application four weeks prior to the start of your desired rotation quarter or start date.
Complete Application includes:
2. First Smiles Certificate of Course Completion prior to beginning your rotation either by email or in person to CHS 23-020. A sample of the certificate can be found here.
3. After initial acceptance, interview with the faculty director of the Infant Oral Health Clinic and Selective, Dr. Francisco Ramos-Gomez. The Clinic Coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview appointment, after review of your application.
4. Make sure to check your email on a regular basis for a final acceptance email which will contain all the information you will require in order to successfully begin a new clinic rotation with us.

- Short personal statement (200 word limit) answering the following questions:
- What experience have you had in pediatric dentistry?
- What would you like to take away from the Infant Oral Care Selective?
- How have you shown your interest in pediatric dentistry?
